Choosing a topic
The topic question I have is, in women specifically, does diabetes have an effect on the level of anxiety that occurs? Off of this I would like to go into anxiety specifically and articles on diabetes and see if there is a specific aspect that the two have in common that creates this link to one another. I chose this from a personal level because for the past 6 years, I have developed severe anxiety and live with it on a daily basis. I would like to find out for not only a public health standpoint, but for myself, if I change the way I take care of myself, will it help to ease my anxiety at all? Some key terms I found were women, anxiety, diabetes and health. This article talks about women specifically and how they have an impact on their anxiety when they have type 2 diabetes. It links the two together using research done in India. This is significant to my research because I want to know if women are unhealthy, doe that spike up their rate for anxiety and depression.
